South Australia Fundraiser
The South Australian Branches held a fund raising on the 18th May when Kevin Young was in Adelaide for “An Evening With Kevin Young”. This was an extremely successful event where we had 330 attendees, all attendees gave a donation at the door, raising total of $1512.00 with the proceeds going to Club Cares for some local charities. The SA Branch Managers agreed to donate to two local charities: Lutheran Community Care, representative Sharon Davis and Drug Arm, representative Sam Raven.
Lutheran Community Care - shares the love of Christ by providing community services and assisting others to build strong caring communities. Some of the areas that LCC provide support and services to are:
- For Families – We support families through the good times and the difficult times
- For Individuals – We counsel and work with them to recognize their needs
- For The Community – We welcome asylum seekers and new arrivals from a refugee background
- For the Youth – We offer support to young people by listening , encouraging and helping them develop skills
Drug Arm – Drug Awareness, Rehabilitation and management. Some of the areas that Drug Arm provide support and services to are:
- Treatment Programs – Intervention and referral to individuals who have personal problems with alcohol or other drug use.
- Outreach Programs – A mobile patrol that engages individuals on the street who are experiencing harm associated with alcohol and other drug use, homelessness and mental health issues.
